Dr. David Chandler art showcase

Dr. David H. Chandler, a retired Franklin College philosophy and religion professor, is displaying examples of his contemplative photography at First Christian Church. Chandler began exploring the technique during the COVID-19 pandemic, using long exposures and movement to create abstract images inspired by his faith and the writings of thinkers such as Abraham Joshua Heschel, Thomas Merton, and Thich Nhat Hanh. Chandler will attend an artist showcase on Sunday, March 22, and will answer questions after the church’s 10 a.m. service. The exhibit may also be viewed during church office hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
