Due to the delay in the completion of our renovations at First Christian Church, our Fellowship Hall will not be available for use or renting out until after the first of the new year. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Over the past several months, the Executive Committee has been reviewing the staffing needs at Frist Christian Church. As a church we are blessed to be in a position of growth, and the Committee has come to the realization that the needs of our congregation would best be served by hiring a full-time Associate who will work with the youth, oversee programming, as well as assist Rev. Bill with numerous tasks that accompany leading a congregation of our size. After consulting with Rev. Bill and many of the congregation’s lay leaders, the Executive Committee formulated a recommendation that was presented to the church Board on Monday, June 19th.
The Executive Committee is happy to announce the Church Board accepted the Executive Committee’s recommendation and offered Rev. Beth Crouch the Associate Pastor position. Rev. Beth accepted. Please join the Executive Committee in congratulating Rev. Beth on her new position at FCC!
Rev. Beth has a great vision and many great ideas as to how we can work to make First Christian an even more vibrant and loving faith community. Rev. Beth, we can’t wait to work with you as we strive each day to continue to make First Christian an open and loving church home for all of God’s children.

All people of coffee drinking age are invited to join together in Fellowship Hall at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning for some great group discussion. We focus on different scripture each week, spend time together on a variety of topics and pray. Join us!
Discovery Preschool is off to a great start. Just a few tears (mostly from moms). We still have a few openings in each of our classes. If you, or anyone you know have a preschool age child, keep us in mind. The children learn and play. They even work on those social skills of sharing, taking turns and being polite. Labels for education program ended this year. Thanks to everyone for sending in labels the past few years. We have been able to acquire things for the preschool without spending money. Always a plus ! The children are fascinated by the construction here at the church. We talk about some of the equipment as well as some of the noises. We appreciate all you do for the preschool. Blessings to you! Cheryl and Jessica
Construction is continuing at First Christian Church and although there has been a lot of progress made, it will still be well into Fall before it is complete. Our Sunday worship is at Freeman's Funeral Home on Harrison St until construction is complete.
